Toronto, Canada - 1998 Seminar Review by Ray Langley The one-day class on Four Pillars was loaded with tons on information on plotting the Four Pillars and the 10 Year Luck Pillars. In fact, we were given about as much info as could be crammed into a one day class. There were also several case studies of famous people to help us learn how to conduct a reading. For some reason, Four Pillars did not resonate with me on a "gut" level. One of the primary reasons that I desired to learn this system was so that I could write software to calculate the pillars. Since I can read the Chinese calendar, I can just read the pillars right out of the 10,000 Year Calendar! So, why bother? :-) If you want to learn the five elements in profound detail, Four Pillars may be the right system for you. All-in-all, I was delighted with the training I received in both courses. I highly recommend these classes to anyone who is interested in learning traditional Chinese astrology. Joseph Yu has a very mellow and subdued style of teaching. He is soft-spoken, and you have to concentrate to get the most out of the class. He has a special talent for explaining difficult concepts. He is willing to answer all questions, at any time. I am a teacher's nightmare. I sit in the front row and constantly ask questions and request further clarification. Not once did he say, "We will cover that a little later." :-) |
